iMessage won’t activate
Hi, iMessage will not activate with my Fizz number. If I insert another SIM my iPhone asks me to update carrier settings and works fine. My Fizz SIM when re-inserted doesn’t prompt me to update carrier settings, and under the “my number” section in the Phone settings, it’s blank. Additionally, my number isn’t shown under iMessage settings.

Did you just sign-up? Perhaps your SIM isn't fully activated yet. It can take up to 2 hours.
Did you port your number from another provider?

Hey, no I've been with Fizz for quite a while now. Had to reset my phone and it's since then. Thank you for the link to the support chat, I will try that now.

I suggest to check your Fizz account to ensure your plan is active.
You can also test your Fizz SIM card on another device to see if there is any service issue.

I sorted it! Turns out Fizz wasn't the problem (I think).
I had to borrow another iPhone, reset it, set it up with my Apple ID but not restore from a backup.
Go through the setup, and the iMessage activated with my number, and then I got a prompt on MY iPhone that a new number was added to iMessage!
What a hassle
Edit: I spoke to soon. As soon as I factory reset the other iPhone, iMessage removed my number from it. I guess I'll have to factory reset my phone, and then set it up again brand new, without using an iCloud backup.
