Modem/Router Stops working 4 times per day
Router/Modem stops working as of 10pm - 8am every single day - I've done 3 Factory resets and it still crashes.
I think the router is defective -
Please advise

Hi David,
Thank you for reaching out to us.
I kindly invite you to connect to the Fizz Wi-Fi app and check under the My devices tab for any Bedtime schedule you may have set for your devices.
If the Internet connection always stops within this time interval it is most likely due to a Bedtime schedule set via the app for the devices whit which you cannot obtain a connection.
Details can also be found on this thread:

Thank you very much for your understanding.Have a good one!

When the Fizz modem is set in bridge mode all fonctionnality is disabled exept modem fonction. So the modem Fizz will no more manage your connection but just convert coaxial to ethernet and let the router do the job.
So all function of the modem who create the problem will be bypass. The modem side function fine its the router part who have some difficulty.

Is it only on wifi ?
And always at the same hour?
Apparently the Fizz-WIFI APP (explained here↗️) can control a sleeping schedule promoted as bedtime of switch-off schedule↗️ . But it would work per device entry in the configurations and I believe a factory reset would also reset it.
Are you using it? If so, have a look at what it says.

The bed time schedule is not on,
I've factory reset the Router and it still disconnects
What else can it be?

Thank you for letting me know, David.
If you wish, I can reset the connection from my end to see if this remedies the situation.
Please let me know.

When you say it is crashing, are there any lights at all between 10pm-6am?
If we rule out the bedtime scheduling, the regularity is too much of a coincidence. So I'm brainstorming here.
And because we don't know your environment, and that everybody can made such mistake, is it possible that the modem's power cable has been placed on distinct timer device (i.e.. for controlling lights). It is an easy mistake to make when someone does spring cleaning for instance and puts back a non trivial set of devices back to electrical outlets. Maybe you're also using a power bar that has a timer capacity.
This came to my mind because when I researched the bedtime schedule solution someone propose that as an alternate solution to installing/learning the APP.

A good option, but not free, is to buy your own router and use it.
Its work like a charm :)

Thanks for the suggestions - But if the FIZZ Modem has an issue, how will the router help me?
I'm plugged in directly to the Router with Ethernet and the internet drops, 🙄

If Fizz' modem is used in bridge mode, it will loose its bedtime and scheduling functionalities. And you'll plug all but one ethernet cable into the newly added router (one ethernet cable will link the modem to the router).
