why is my wifi bugging?

This can be caused by interferences and/or kind of wall, I personally find the the problem with the modem is the lack of external antennas, which penalize the reception.

Try to move the router if you can,

Try to disable the band steering this can help
This change can also be applied through the Wi-Fi modem user interface:

1. Log in at: 192.168.0.1 from the web browser of any device.
2. Log in using the following information:
Username: cusadmin
Password: xxxxxxxx (Password you chose during initial setup)
3. Go to the next section to apply changes:

Wireless → General Settings → 5GHz → Band Steering (Disable)

Also try to change channel

A series of channels are available on each frequency (2.4 and 5 GHz) of your Wi-Fi modem. Interference can have an impact on these channels.
Manually changing the channels used for your Wi-Fi connection can improve your modem’s signal.

Wireless → General Settings → 5 GHz → Wireless channel

And also for the 2,4Ghz

Wireless → General Settings → 2.4 GHz → Wireless channel

Sorry you are having internet issues.

As mentioned, you can disable the Band Steering option of the Fizz modem/router. You are able to do this via the Fizz Wifi app by choosing My Wifi >> Select the Wifi network >> Advanced settings >> Bandsteering. When band steering is disabled, the Wi-Fi modem will display two frequency bands, 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. You can test your connection like this for a while, to see whether there are improvements.

You can also install a Wifi Analyzer app to check the channels that are less congested in your area. You can then go to the modem admin settings to select the less used channels.

Since you are close to the modem, try to use the 5 GHz WiFi frequency for better reception.
If you are using the 2.4 GHz Wifi, look for any possible obstacles between the modem and your device. These may need to be relocated:
1. microwave
2. baby monitors
3. bluetooth devices
4. other electronics such as TV, cordless phone, sound bar...

Finally, you can optionally put the Fizz modem in bridge mode and use your own router.
