Did you try to transfer your number during the activation of a new plan? What is the exact message you got?
Fyi certain numbers cannot be transferred to Fizz:
"We’re currently unable to transfer land lines and VOIP phone numbers." I believe business numbers are excluded as well.

If this is the case, you can do it in 2 steps. First transfer your number to another mobile provider. At that point, you can transfer your number to Fizz.

Hi Sonia,
In this case, you would need a new Fizz SIM card unto which to transfer said number.
Then, by using either the account number from your previous provider or the phone's IMEI number, transfer your number from Overview-> Get started-> Mobile-> Activate a new SIM card and choose the Transfer a number to Fizz when prompted with the option.
