If you have Canadian coverage yes it must work.
Did you have activated the data roaming?
This week I read other people complaining about similar problems with data in roaming.I will contact the support.CHAT

If you selected Canada coverage in your package, then you should. Roaming must be activated.

No, that's not normal. Is this a long term problem or something you've noticed recently? I have seen multiple people complain about recent problems with Fizz EXT outside of Quebec/Ottawa, but it did work for me as recently as early July while in Ontario.

Maybe this can help you - activate airplane mode and after 20 seconds put it back to normal.3

Should but also sometime it doesnt. I have the problem in montrela metro. Does your phone suppoort the available bandwidth offered?
I have a Chinese Phone and it doesn't support the 4G bandwidth in Canada so im on H+ most of the time and no network in metro or at specific locations2 -
