Bad call quality

I have had several people tell me they can't hear me clearly after having switched to fizz (using same device). Not sure what the cause is. This is becoming very frustrating for my friends/family and myself.

are you in 3G ste your APN correctly choose fizz 4G cut wifi try internet if not OK reboot your phone if iphone do the last MAJ9

I used to be with Fido. Fido has HD calling - at least that's what my phone (Pixel 2) used to show during phone calls. The sound was very good with Fido. After switching to Fizz me and my wife have noticed a huge drop in sound quality during our calls. There is no more HD call displayed on the screen either. A bit disappointed. I hope Fizz will upgrade their systems one day.8

I haven't noticed any perceptible change in call quality since switching from Fido.
Is the call quality bad when you're at a specific location, or everywhere? In your case, it could be a network (location-specific or not) issue. Better to open a ticket with Fizz Support, and have them resolve the issue.5 -
People have also told me that call quality was not as good as with Fido.
Since it is a low cost brand, i would not be surprised that they compress the voice too much to save on cost.3 -
Exactly, I also came from fido. They had offered me a nice retention plan. I might go back if the call quality doesn't improve. Hearing people complain about not hearing me properly is not something I want to deal with any longer. I know most people text, but I regularly make phone calls, so the call quality with fizz is a deal breaker as it is now.4
