Here we go again. Not able to send texts this time...really Fizz??

This was understandable when Fizz was in beta. Now it's unacceptable. Fizz is clearly not ready to be deployed into mainstream. I'm no longer able to send texts. Can receive them as well as in/out calls. Fizz needs to get their act straight before going out of beta.

I haven't had any issues with texting (other than two-factor authentication being an issue with Amazon and Google). Although I don't use texting too much. The network outage for 12 hours was quite annoying however. I avoided signing up the first few months to avoid beta-quality service. Now it seems I'm getting beta-quality service for introductory pricing. Eventually customers will have to talk with their feet.26

Many people seem to be having this issue right now. It might be another version of friday night's outage. But most people seem to be fine.25

I appreciate Fizz's efforts on all these issues, but I really don't feel they should have rolled out of beta yet. Intro prices may be attractive but not at the cost of unreliable cell service which most people really depend on.28

I'm having the same problem my messenger says phone number has wrong format... What the hell... Come on Fizz I transferred my Fido line Friday and trusted your systems to be at least half decent...21

Is been 3h I can't text either, it seems to be an other problem coming from the provider24

I'm also having this problem. Everything works but I can't send texts. I get an error message: "Message not sent. Phone number formatted incorrectly". I used the native messaging app and a third-party app and I get the same issue. 1 PM EST is the last time I was able to send a text. I guess we'll have to wait it out like Friday.24

And client service deactivated their chat icon ... we cannot contact them to have ETA on the issue !

Mine works. I can send text and voice in/out. Have you tried to reboot your phone?23

@Hichem No, sending texts is still unavailable for me since early this afternoon. Data, in & out calls and incoming texts still work though.25

I have the exact same issue here. Everything works fine except sending sms. Sherbrooke, Quebec area. Seems like an issue on Fizz,/Videotron end. Rebooted my phone à few times, event shutdown and let it on the counter for a while before restating it, still the same issue. I would say this started around 11AM this morning. Couldn't get any sms out since. I was going to switch my wife phone to fizz tonight but I guess I'll wait a bit more...24

8:25 AM, it's back here after almost 20h outage. Sherbrooke, Quebec area, though it probably doesn't matter where I am.
I'd really like to have some explanation on what happened from Fizz guys... This is not something I'll tolerate another time. I'll even try to have some credits when I'll succeed to join the chat...21 -
I messaged fizz on Facebook and they replied to me saying they fixed my problem. Try that or open a ticket through you profile. I have 2 numbers and both are working now21

My texts magically started working this morning as well. While I'm glad they are actively checking the service, Fizz should really have stayed in beta mode a little while longer. Issues like this just gives them a bad name especially when starting out.22

Seems to intermittent as well... my wife couldn't send/receive texts last night and again tonight for about an hour each time.20

Contact Fizz support about the problem because for me, I'm able to send texts to any number without issues. Good luck!1

Do not work for me right now as well. It was working this morning. It is very annoying because I am using text message for my 2 steps authenticator. I cannot login to my google account right now. And overall, sending and receiving text message with Fizz is suuuper slow. It's unacceptable. Very desapointed.0

We are aware that some SMS from certain providers don't reach destination. The Fizz team is working on it with the concerned providers. You can find more information on the link below:

In the meantime, we recommend that you choose alternative options to get those confirmations like via e-mail.
