Bank Payments?

I didn't realize really until now that I couldn't pay with my new debit or through my bank somehow. I've changed my bank and only now realized you let me pay with my bank account because it was a debit Visa, may I ask is there any way I can get a bank payment set up which in effect would be the same thing? I love the service I don't want to lose it :( please fizz community help me!!!!

    Hello!

Don't worry, your service won't be immediately cut off, but there are a few important details you need to know about how Fizz processes monthly payments:

    1. Direct Bank Accounts / PAD (Pre-Authorized Debit) are NOT accepted

Fizz does not support traditional direct bank account withdrawals (using account numbers, transit, or routing numbers) for automatic recurring monthly payments.

    2. Supported Payment Methods for Recurring Plans

To keep your monthly plan active, Fizz strictly requires one of the following payment methods linked to your account:

    • Visa or Mastercard credit cards
    • Visa Debit or Mastercard Debit cards (as long as they have a 16-digit card number, expiry date, and CVV on the front/back)

    3. How to fix this so you don't lose your service:

    • Option A: Check if your new bank card has Visa Debit or Mastercard DebitIf your new bank card has a Visa or Mastercard logo along with an expiry date and 3-digit CVV, you can add it directly as a Debit card!
    • Option B: Add a Credit CardYou can use any valid Visa or Mastercard credit card (it can even belong to someone else, provided you have their authorization).
    • Option C: One-time Interac e-Transfer (if a payment fails)If a payment attempt fails, Fizz allows a one-time Interac e-Transfer (via their partner Paybilt) directly from your bank account to cover the missed bill and keep your service active. However, you will still need to add a valid recurring payment card to your account for future billing cycles.

    How to update your card:

    1. Log into your account on fizz.ca.
    2. Go to My Settings > Payment Methods > Add a new payment method.
    3. Go to My Plans > Manage Plan > Payment Method and make sure your plan is assigned to the new card!

Hope this helps clear things up and gets your account sorted smoothly!

    Hello Hyjinx,
I am sorry to hear about the situation you encountered.

After verifying your account, I can confirm that you have successfully added a new payment method and associated the new card with your plan for future payments. Your plan has now been unsuspended and is fully functional.
As propea correctly mentioned , regular bank account payments or direct withdrawals are not currently available with Fizz.
To pay your monthly bill, you can use any of the payment methods listed in our dedicated FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-payment-methods-can-i-use as G225 code IRSGE correctly suggested.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

    Have a great day!
