I have a Quebec plan visiting Ontario for a week. How can I activate my phone in Ontario

Is it possible to get that time in Ontario just for one week? How do I process?Tx

    According to the website your subscription area must correspond to where you live

    You might be able to use a zone outside subscription area for a limited time, but I suggest just using a Canada wide plan.

    I don't think it is possible. But you should be able to add on a roaming travel plan. That is what I was told when I had an Ontario-only plan and was considering travelling to British Columbia.

    Welcome to the Fizz forum! Your options will depend on when your trip is coming up. If you will be in a new billing cycle, you could switch to a Canada wide plan. However, you'd be limited to whatever is currently available which may cost more or less than your current plan. Otherwise, you could use the Fizz wallet or maybe travel add-ons. Hope you have a good trip!

    It is possible and you can activate it instantly. The trick is to buy travel add ons for Canada. Go to

    https://zone.fizz.ca/dce/customer-ui-prod/account/plan

    and for your plan, on the data tile, click on Travel and enter Canada as the destination country. Do not buy regular "addons", you have to buy "Travel" for any service outside of your usual coverage area.

    60 minutes (both incoming and outgoing) for $4.
    200 texts (outgoing) for $4.
    500 MB for $10
    1 GB for $20
    2 GB for $30
    Incoming texts are always free regardless of whether you activate any travel addons.

    As other people have suggested, switchting to a Canada-wide plan only works if you have time to wait for your next billing cycle to start before travelling.

    Please note, that Ottawa and the surrounding area should be included in your Québec provincial plan.

    The Fizz wallet was mentioned, however, the last statement from a @Whizz was that the wallet is intended for use only from within your coverage area only, so it sounds like Fizz has recently scrapped using the Fizz wallet for Pay-as-you-go roaming.

    Someone complained when they had an Ontario plan in Ottawa that it would sometimes connect to Quebec towers and they'd have no service.
    Maybe they changed it.
    Travel addons are really expensive.

    If you do switch to a new plan, remember that the Canada wide option is only one dollar a month more that a provincial only plan.

    You can register a new plan temporary for one week then cancel it without any fee.
