Migrating from 4G to 5G : Only LTE Available
I've recently upgraded to 5G for my phone, and I own a Google Pixel 6a which supports 5G but somehow i'm never on 5G and I can't even select 5G (See picture). I've followed the instructions at this address but no success : https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/2666477/the-new-5g-network
Could anybody help me? I would like to enjoy what i'm paying for!
Thank you!

Hello delighted
Thank you for letting us know about this situation.
Please note that in order to receive a stable 5G connection you should be located inside an area that is covered adequately. You can verify your address here: https://fizz.ca/en/coverage
I verified your account and I can see that you have two active mobile plans. However, only one of them has 5G mobile data included. Based on my verifications, your phone should be compatible with a 5G connection as long as you are using with the correct plan.
Also, I verified the instructions from the conversation you provided and normally it should have helped in this situation. However, the most important thing to verify is to have the latest Android version available for your phone. After that you should reset the network settings for your phone by following these steps: Settings / System / Reset options / Reset cellular network settings.
If you still encounter issues I recommend contacting us directly from the support page for further assistance.
We appreciate your understanding in this situation.
Have a good one!
