Pending Activation HELP

I went through the process of purchasing an esim and installing it on my iPhone. I got to the point where I was porting my number over from my old carrier, but I never received the text from my old carrier that would allow me to cancel my previous plan. I received an iOS notification saying that the esim was not activated and that I should contact Fizz. My account page on Fizz shows "pending activation". I have not received help from the chatbot. The chatbot said someone will be with me as soon as possible but I have not heard back. What are the next steps?

My phone still seems able to make calls and has data so I believe my old phone plan is still active.
