Depending on whether you activating a physical sim or an eSim, either read
https://fizz.ca/en/faq/activate
or
https://fizz.ca/en/faq/install-and-activate-esimSpecifically for eSim, you should log into your Fizz account and check if you have to manually start the transfer after your eSim is installed in your phone.
My plans > Manage my plan -> Install my eSim. Look for a green button to start number transfer.1

We appreciate your interest in our services.
Verifying your account, your esim is installed but the button to start the transfer is not pressed.
Please access My plans, Install my eSIM, press button Start the transfer.
Once you press it, the authorisation request will be sent on the previous provider SIM card, please make sure you accept it.
Once accepted, the transfer will be made in maximum 2 hours.
