Data barely working today

I was out at a café today near broadway and fraser and my data was hardly working at all for over an hour. I tried restarting my phone multiple times but it continued not to work. The Fizz status page says everything is fine. It's working again now that I'm home, but I don't need data at home, because I have wifi. Is there any explanation for why it was not working this morning? Is there anything I can do about this in future?

    Hello Padraig.
    It sounds like you may have experienced a temporary signal issue in that area.
    Even if the Fizz status page shows no outages, local network congestion or weaker tower coverage can sometimes cause slow or unstable mobile data. 
    A few things you could try next time this happens:
    Toggle Airplane Mode on and off — this forces your phone to reconnect to the nearest tower.
    Try resetting your network settings (though note this will remove saved Wi-Fi networks).
