Can I delay activation of my account?

I like the current price of a plan, but don't need it for a few months. With other providers I have purchased a SIM and paid for the first month, then delayed activation so I only start paying monthly after that.

When I was going through FIZZ checkout, they just charge for the SIM and include this statement "Your plan and its price will be officially confirmed when you activate your SIM card as prices may vary between now and then."

So it sounds like the price could change. Am I reading that right? Anyone have any experience with this?

Yes, you are reading it correctly. Buying a SIM card on Fizz website will not activate any plan, just as if you'd get a Fizz SIM from a store, they will be inactive until you activate online from your account.
Prices may change, and you will have to choose between plans on offer at the time of activation. There is no way to "reserve" a price plan for later activation.

You could however instantly activate and pay for a price plan on an eSim and then later swap it for a physical sim once you have one. When doing a sim card swap, the price for your active plan won't change.

    Hello @Jim418 ,

With Fizz if you don`t want to activate the Sim card immediately, you can keep the Sim card and activate it at a later date, but when activating the Sim card, you also activate the plan.

We don`t have the option to delay a payment / activation of a plan.

And yes, prices can vary from time to time - as an example, if you see a lower price now but you don't subscribe, the price can increase or even decrease in the meantime.

You will then have to get the new price according to what's available on the website.
On the last note, you can keep the price that you have on your current plan once you activate it , even if the price of that plan increases on the website in the meantime.

However, if the price decreases for that plan on the website, you have to check the offer and change the plan to have the same cost.
