My Fizz model keeps freezing. The only solution to regain internet access being to reboot it

I have my Fizz internet model for a couple of year now, and latently it started to freeze from time to time. When this happens, all the LEDs are solid green and there is no internet connection available.

The only way to recover it from this state is to unplug and then replug it.

The modem is not used as a wifi router. It is just used to connect to the internet. I have a wired connection in between the Fizz modem and my wifi router.

Any idea if there is any firmware fix for this or if I can order a new modem ?

Thanks

Did you try to reset the modem?
Is the modem configured in bridge mode?

Did you check the model logs when the issue happens?

    Hello @A O,

I am sorry for your issue.

Verifying your modem signals in my tools, they are all within the limits, the modem provides a proper speed and it is online.
I recommend you to change the power outlet and to avoid power strips, make sure that the coaxial cable is well inserted.

You can try to factory reset the modem too and see if the issue persist after. Please consult our FAQ too:https://fizz.ca/en/faq/my-internet-service-not-working-what-do-i-do

If the issue persists after the manipulations provided, please contact us by chat to troubleshoot further and help.

    Thank you for your cooperation.

    Have a great day!
