why "discussion has been closed"

I'm not able to reply to a recent conversation ...

... because the "discussion has been closed".

I'd replied a few minutes before someone from FIZZ replied (and promptly closed the discussion after doing so), but wondered if there was a way to reply nonetheless?

    This happens when the @Whizz think that the conversation had the answer or that the conversation must be done with an agent to find the solution

    It seems, in this case at least, that the reason they closed it is because they didn't offer support to a client who repeatedly tried, in vain, to get his modem to work. Kinda sad to loose a client because no one took him/her seriously for more than a week.
