Can I use "eSim me" card to obtain an esim with Fizz?

Hello Folks!

I would like to switch to Fizz but I want to know something before making the switch.

I bought a card called "eSim me" that upgrade your non-compatible phone to esim cards into a compatible one. It looks like it would work because Fizz seems to send a QR code to set up the esim card. Since I could not find any info related to Fizz and this new technology, I would like to confirm if this could work with Fizz.

Here's the link to the eSim me product: https://esim.me/

Thank you!

I have an eSim me. So far, installing sim cards from overseas carriers has always worked for me. But I have not tried to install any from Canada, so I couldn't tell you if it works with Fizz. I doubt, support would know either, the use case is just too peculiar. You can try Google it or ask an AI, maybe you find someone who has tried it. Otherwise, you just have to go try yourself, I'm afraid.

    Hello @popar3 ,

To answer your questions, no, eSIM.me will not work with our system/services. While the eSIM.me card allows you to store and manage eSIM profiles from various providers, we manage our eSIM activation and provisioning through our own process on our website.
You can purchase and activate an esim by going into your Fizz account > Add a mobile plan if it is the first plan or Mobile plans in Overview > Activate and purchase an esim. Then, the installation process is made directly by scanning the QR code we generated with your phone's camera. You can see more details about this process here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/install-and-activate-esim

If you have further questions, you can contact our support by accessing this link: https://fizz.ca/en/support

    Have a good day!
