Hello

My phone has LTE, but does it work automatically for the Fizz Network, or do I have to configure it manually?

    Hello @ziid14,

I want to inform you that the withdrawal of the 3G network will begin on July 31, 2025. The only way to confirm if a phone purchased elsewhere is VoLTE-compatible with Fizz is to perform the #TEST (#8378).

If the test fails, please verify if your phone has the VoLTE option that can be activated. For most Android phones, the path to activate VoLTE is typically: Connections / Mobile networks / VoLTE calls. After activating VoLTE, please redo the test.

If your phone still fails the test and does not have the VoLTE function available to activate, we strongly recommend that you take the necessary steps now to avoid any inconveniences once the 3G network is decommissioned. This includes potential issues like being unable to make calls or contact emergency services (911). You can find more information about this here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/why-volte-important

Please note that Fizz will not, under any circumstances, block or prevent the operation of VoLTE on a phone that hasn’t been certified by us. If your phone is compatible with Fizz’s VoLTE configuration, it will be able to make VoLTE calls. However, we cannot guarantee the proper functioning of VoLTE on your device on our network. For more details, you can see more about this here, at points 3 and 4: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/compatible-devices

If you have other questions, you can get in contact with our customer service by accessing this link: https://fizz.ca/en/support

    Have a good one,

It will work on the Fizz network for now and will continue to work for data access. However, depending on its VoLTE compatibility with the Fizz network, you may lose the ability to make or receive voice calls later this year. Unless you use or switch to some instant messaging or VoIP app that uses data for voice calls.

The S10 doesn’t appear on the list. Its appear not compatible. Update your phone and test again . Look here list https://fizz.ca/fr/faq/appareils-compatibles

The best way, however, to confirm whether your phone is VoLTE-compatible at Fizz is to make a call by dialling #TEST (#8378) on your mobile phone
