Hi, should I change the router since it's not working well. I put the printer 3 feet beside it and I still lose the connection / signal. I tried unpluging 2-3 times over the last 2 weeks...

    Hi @Chatou1975

You can try to reboot the modem or to reset

    Here's a more detailed explanation:

Locate the Reset Button: Find the reset button on the back of your Fizz Wi-Fi modem.

Press and Hold: Use a small, sharp object (like a paperclip or pin) to press and hold the reset button for approximately 10 seconds.
Wait for Restart: The modem will restart after you release the button.
Reconfigure Your Network: Once the modem has restarted, follow the same instructions you used when you initially installed it to reconfigure your network.

You should try to disable the band steering

The modification of this option is possible thanks to the mobile application Fizz Wi-Fi:

    Choose: ''My Wi-Fi''

    Select your Wi-Fi network

    Select: ''Advanced Settings''

    Band Steering ''On/Off''

The Fizz Wi-Fi app is available for free at various online stores (Apple Store and Google Play Store).

This change can also be applied through the Wi-Fi modem user interface:

    1. Log in at: 192.168.0.1 from the web browser of any device.

    2. Log in using the following information:

    Username: cusadmin

Password: xxxxxxxx (Password you chose during initial setup)

    3. Go to the next section to apply changes:

    Wireless ->Advanced -> 2.4 Ghz or 5Ghz -> Band Steering (Disable)

    Hello Chatou1975,
I am sorry to hear that you have issues with your printer disconnecting from the network.
Upon verifying the status of your modem using our tools, I was able to notice that its signals are under the right parameters, meaning that the modem is receiving a good and steady internet connection.
Do you encounter this issue with any other of your devices?
I would recommend you to disable the band steering option and connect your printer to the 2.4G band since it has a more steady connection.
You can do it directly from the modem user interface:
    1. Log in at: 192.168.0.1 from the web browser of any device.
    2. Log in using the following information:
    - Username: cusadmin
    - Password: Your current Wi-Fi password
Once logged in, navigate to Wireless -> Advanced -> 2.4G and 5G -> Band Steering Disabled, and then save the changes for both bands.
To ensure the changes are saved, please access the modem's interface and navigate to Wireless -> Basic Settings -> 2.4G and 5G. Change the Network Name (SSID) for both bands by adding "2.4G" at the end of the name for the 2.4G band, and then save the changes.

    Have a wonderful day.
