FIZZ won't honor the price of the plan I bought the sim for

Has anyone faced the same issue? I bought a new physical sim yesterday because they had the following offer: 20gb plus texts and calls for $26 a month. They even asked me which plan to choose when ordering a new sim. Today, I checked with them to see if they would still honor the price that i bought the new sim for, they refused. I quote "plans can change anytime." My sim hasn't even arrived yet. How can you not honor the prices that people bought your services for? I am not a sim collector. the REASON I bought the new sim was because of the pricing plan which you asked me to choose before buying the sim. The right thing to do would be lock in that price. This is predatory pricing at it best.

    Hi @Frustrated

Sorry but the plan price is at the activation of the plan and no when you buy the SIM.

However, do you know that Fizz is changing the mobile price frequently therefore, in a couple of weeks you can have a better option/price.

There is always an option to buy it directly in store and activate in the same day so that you catch the desired offer.

If this is for AB, BC or ON, the offer is still there. But ends today. If you can pop out real quick and grab a sim card from your next Esso station / Circle K, you might make it.

    Hello @Frustrated ,

Sorry to hear about the issue,

As other users have stated , the price itself applies only when you activate a Sim card not when you order the Sim card itself.

The plans can also change themselves ( not only the pricing ) , as this is not something we can control directly , so the easiest way to avoid such situations would be to try to get a Sim card from a physical shop , depending on where you live.

However, I saw that you were not satisfied and wanted to be refunded, which you were , for the Sim card.
The refund is already visible in your transaction history in My settings - Transaction history : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/where-can-i-see-my-transactions-and-orders and in your bank account in some bussiness days.

We are sorry that the experience was not to your liking also.

    Have a good one,
