Hi,

My Internet connexion dropped two times today March 11th. I had to reboot the modem each time. Is there something happening with the network or my modem?

    The cause can be from multiple factors

    Work on your sectors

    Electric outages in your sector

    Some faulty connections to the modem (check all the cables)

    The modem is overeating ( this can happen if the modem doesn’t have enough space)

    And other possibilities too

    If the problem continues I will try to make a reset of the modem, if this doesn’t help I will contact the support in order to check the signals https://fizz.ca/en/support

    To reset a Fizz modem, you can press and hold the reset button on the back of the modem for 10 seconds. You can use a small, sharp object like a paperclip to press the button. The reset button is usually recessed to prevent accidental resets. Steps to reset a Fizz modem: 

    1. Find the reset button on the back of the modem
    2. Use a small, sharp object to press and hold the reset button for 10 seconds
    3. Wait for the modem to restart
    4. Follow the same instructions you used when you first installed the modem

    hi install Fizz Wifi apps and test your connection.

    Check cable and plug directly your modem to electricity.

    Hello Laphroaig 

    Following my verification, there is no maintenance work in your area, however the signals of your modem are not in optimal parameters. Could you please verify if the cables show any sign of damage? Also, please restart your modem by unplugging its power cable, leave it until all the lights are off, allow it 10 more seconds, then plug it back in a different electrical outlet if possible, not a bar or an extender.
