Samsung A71 is listed as a certified volte phone. When I go to enable volte, the option to turn it on is greyed out. What should I do?

    Hi @mchochu

Fizz is hiding the. Volte switch

To check if your phone is VoLTE-compatible with Fizz, you can dial #TEST (#8378) from your phone while at home.

    Hello mchochu,

I have a VoLTE compatible phone bought from Fizz, a VoLTE SIM card, and yet, when I call #8378 I am told my phone is not compatible.

Try the old test: turn the WIFI off and make a phone call. If you still can see LTE, LTE+ or 4G on your phone during the call, if you can use your data during the call, it means your phone is using VoLTE and there is ne need to worry.

    Hi @mchochu,

The best way to confirm whether your phone is VoLTE-compatible at Fizz is, once your Fizz mobile plan is activatedto make a call by dialling #TEST (#8378) on your mobile phone while at home.

Some manufacturers have removed the option to choose the call operating mode, defaulting instead to VoLTE when available. In other words, you won’t see the VoLTE option in your settings

    Hello @mchochu ,
As the other users already suggested, please try to dial #TEST (#8378) from your phone in order to see if the phone is compatible Volte.
From what I can see in my tools, indeed your phone model is visible on the list therefore it should work.
Please make sure that the latest software version is installed.
Some manufacturers have removed the option to choose the call operating mode, defaulting instead to VoLTE when available therefore it is possible that this is why you are not able to see the Volte option in your Settings.
