Can I cast to a chromecast from an iphone using the fizz app?

I have an iphone and a chromecast on my TV. I see the airplay option from the app, but not an option to cast to my chromecast.

Is this option only available for android, or am I missing something?

Hi @JKO

Fizz app support cast content from your iPhone to a device using the Fizz TV app, however, I never did. To do this, ensure that both your iPhone and the devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.

From my understanding your device must have the AirPlay support to be able to do it, if it does have only Chromecast I believe that you need an android phone

The two technology they do similar job, but they are different in the protocol

To cast using AirPlay and an Apple mobile device: 

Connect your Apple mobile device (iPhone/iPad) to the same local network as your Apple TV device.  

While watching content on your mobile device, select the AirPlay icon in the top right corner of the screen. 

Select the desired device from the list to AirPlay content on.  

Content will begin playback on the selected device. 

Select the AirPlay icon again on your mobile device to cease AirPlay, or use the player controls to stop playback.

Could you please confirm your TV model? Samsung and LG TV's that have been released before 2024 only have Chromecast feature implemented on certain apps. For the other apps, including Fizz TV a Chromecast device is needed. Here are more details : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-connect-device-view-my-tv-content

You could also try to uninstall the app and install it again, then test out the feature.
