Internet not working for a over one week

Fizz website says in "service status" section that services are fully functional.

That could not be further from the truth.

My internet has been down for almost a week now. It sometimes briefly comes back at very low speed and then disconnects again.

I contacted Fizz customer service multiple times. They tell me it's due to ''network maintenance work" in my area. They can't tell me for how long this problem will last. I'm told to look at my modem every 2 hours and that internet will be back when the @ sign is back on ... but it's been 4 days ... a little ridiculous to ask a customer to check the modem like that.

Any advice?

I am very close to loosing my patience and move to another internet provider

    We are sorry to hear about the situation encountered with your home internet services.

    After making the necessary verifications into our tools, we noticed that, indeed, you are currently impacted by some maintenances works therefore this is why your internet is not working properly.
    We understand that this can be unpleasant however for the moment there is no estimated time offered for the resolution and this is why the customer service agents did not provide any timeslot.
    Our technicians are currently on the field, making the necessary to resolve this as soon as possible however this fully depends on the difficulties they are facing at the place.
    Regarding the " Status of services". we kindly wish to inform you that the page is updated only if there are more areas impacted, not for small ones which is the case.
    As you were already informed, please verify and restart your modem from time to time in order to see if the situation is fixed.
    To restart it, you can unplug the modem from the power socket for at least 10 seconds and then plug it back on.
