Does a new phone have to be used with a Fizz account?

By 'different account', you're referring to a non-Fizz account, right?
They're just phones. Buying a phone from Fizz is like buying it from a store. Just make sure it works with your other provider and then put in whatever sim card you want :)

Hi, it's probably for the points bonus or for the discount per month if the phone is eligible. The phone can work with any SIM car. It is not crossed out either.

You can buy a phone with Fizz and used with a different provider too.
However, if there is a Fizz discount associated with it, you should refund prorata the discount if you close the plan associated with it.

You can use the phone with whatever account you want, even a non-Fizz one. However, if the phone was discounted, you could loose the discount if you cancel your plan before 24 months. Check the terms.

Will that still get me the discount associated with the account I name at the time of purchase, even if the new phone isn't ultimately used with that account?0 -
The discount will be on the account where it was purchased, not on the phone.

Our phones come unlocked so they can be used with any type of Sim, you don't have to use the phone for a specific account, however the discount will be indeed tied to the account and your Fizz plan.
