Why won't Fizz let me transfer my phone number?

I am already with Fizz for my mobile service-TV-Internet. My SIM card on my old Pixel was no longer supported so I ordered a new one and a new iPhone 15 from Fizz. I have been trying to activate my new SIM card but you won't let me keep my number.

You can definitely keep your phone number. However, I noticed that you do not have a mobile plan on this account or a transfer request.
You might use a different account for the mobile plan.
To proceed, go to your account, navigate to My Plans > Manage My Plan > Change SIM Card, and select Activate Your SIM. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the activation process.
Once you submit your request to change your SIM, you’ll receive an email confirmation. Additionally, a confirmation will be sent by text if you still have your current SIM and phone.
