Why can't I gift data without a data plan?

I had a plan with more data than I could use so I switched to a no data plan and now I have about 15 go of data about to go down the toilet because I'm at the end of my rollover and can't gift it without moving to a more expensive plan that has data. I see all these people that need data that I can't help 😒 just because I can't afford a more expensive plan. I can understand not being able to receive data, to prevent scammers but not gifting it? Come on.

    Hello Poppi,

I want to inform you that you can gift data right before your current payment cycle ends. However, once this cycle is over, the data will roll over and it will no longer be available to send as a gift.

This means that your left-over data is not wasted. If you think you will need for the next payment cycle, you can let it roll over. However, if won't need it you can gift it to some users in need.

    Hi @Poppi

The rule states that you cannot gift rolled-over data; you can only gift data from the current month.
I don’t know the exact reason for this, but they should at least allow rolled-over data to be gifted for up to two months, especially since gifted data can remain active for up to a month.

Yeah, I know it just seems like such a pity. They could at least extend the rollover like the other providers that don't have rollover expiry.
