change my address to ottawa

I have moved to ottawa and I want to change my address. I cannot do it in my account. I get an error message saying that I need to create a new plan and get a new number. I am ok with getting a new number, I actually prefer a local Ontario number, but will I lose my perks, points and data if I buy a new plan? Do I need to change my sim card too? isn't there a way to just change my address and my number? Thanks!

    If you open a new plan in the same account you will not lose the perks and points, for sure you will lose the data rollover.

    If you want to reuse the SIM, you need to close the Plan from the other province, wait when the account is closed, and reopen a new plan using the same SIM.

    On my knowledge you cannot change the address, but you can try contacting the support

    You can always contact the support, https://fizz.ca/en/support , and click on the green bubble on the bottom right of the page in order to chat with them to find the right solution for you.

    Thank you for your post.
    For the moment, as you were already informed on the website, it is not working to change the address in a different region from your Fizz account. 
    In this case, you can cancel the current plan and subscribe again, using the new address in order to obtain a local umber. 
    As the mobile plan is the only one active in your account, all the benefits will be lost in the moment of cancelling as mentioned here: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/unsubscribe 
    To cancel the plan, you can access My plans- Manage plans- Unsubscribe and the request will be completed at the end of your current payment cycle. 

    Until then, you will be able to use your services.
    After that period, the SIM will no longer be associated with a plan therefore you can use it to create the new plan.
