Customer Service asking for personal information

Hello!
Alright so here's the situation : I want to replace my SIM card on an already existing plan, but I need to deactivate my old SIM card for that. I can only do that by contacting customer support, did that, but there's one problem.
They're asking me for pretty personal information : A picture of my drivers license and of my credit card.
I want to know if this is legit... I am not comfortable giving this kind of info to just anyone.
Thanks in advance for your answers

This is the procedure to prevent SIM swap attack.
@Whizz said in several other threads that after your identity is confirmed, they will delete the image(s) you shared with them.

Hi, yes but only via account or here: Contact us | Fizz or with private message to @Whizz . Only these are official.
For credit card leave only the last 4 digits visible
For the driver's license you can hide part of the number I think if it appeals to you.
Fizz has probably explained the process to you.
