Dropped calls in Greater Montreal area

@Whizz , been having a lot of dropped calls over the past ten days. And I see from these two Reddit posts that I am not the only one; at least nine (9) other people have same issue. I raised a ticket (303839) and I know that at least one other user did, but might be worth a further investigation if ten (10) people have dropped calls.

Anecdotally, my friend in Winnipeg was experiencing dropped calls at about the six minute mark without leaving his home where the call was initiated. He tells me he had a support chat and after a moment or two the reply was “you should be good now”, and it was. No more dropped calls.

I have no idea what Fizz did on their end to resolve it.

We don’t have a Fizz or Freedom tower in Winnipeg, it is with Fizz partners all the time.

Personally I don’t make many voice calls. I have been on aggravating long holds and calls with a travel company that drop when I am being transferred to someone else, but I always blamed that on them.

In high density tower areas such as Montreal, dropped calls mostly occur during hard or soft handoffs between towers as the caller moves through them. This can be exacerbated by high call volume.

    Cheers,

    Brad

My dropped calls were on Fizz towers since I am on South Shore of Montreal, anywhere between the 9 to 30 minute mark.

I had a dropped call on the 10th in Montreal.

This also happened a couple of times in the past month.

However it's hard to say which side dropped the call. It could be the Fizz network or the other side's network.

We’re you on the move, or did you stay in the same place?

I was on the move, but the dropped calls never happened in the same place.

@Whizz , any news on your side as to why this is happening? I counted at least ten (10) customers having these issues on Reddit.
