Can Sim cards become defective?

I have phone calls that are frequently dropped. I am also experiencing phone conversations being cut out on both ends but not at the same time. The situation just got really back upon returning from a trip where my phone was in airplane mode. I have an Iphone 11.

    Good morning @jjones

I have never encountered a defective sim.

Try shutting down your phone, remove the sim, reinsert and turn the phone back on.

Dropped calls are most likely to happen when moving from cell tower to cell tower is areas that don’t have many towers.

And be sure to have roaming turned on.

    Cheers,

    Brad

    Hi @jjones

Probably you are in a zone with very low signal is this the case?

Is your network operator is selected in automatic?

    Hello jjones

    Does the issue still persists?

If it does, as other users also suggested, please try to switch your phone to airplane mode again for a couple seconds, then switch it back to normal. After that, reinsert the Sim and restart the Sim.

If the issue is still not solved, please contact us directly so we can investigate this matter further: https://fizz.ca/en/support

    Have a good night!
