I am trying to enter a new Debit/Visa card but no go (part 2)
My previous thread got closed before I managed to get all the help I needed (https://forum.fizz.ca/en/discussion/comment/6894274#Comment_6894274).
Yes, I saw that comment that my bank had blocked after repeated tries with the address unmatched error.
I'm just on the line with the bank and they have checked with their fraud department and everything about my account saying that it's all cleared to go. So the bank says there are no blocks on the card, contact Fizz.
Worth noting that the new card has worked for Amazon, Lyft, Byrd and local restaurants. So I know the replacement card has been activated.
I'm stuck in a loop.
Step 1: I try and enter the card. It says the address is wrong (but it isn't). I eventually get locked out of trying again by fizz for too many attempts or my bank.
Step 2: So I spend a bunch of time getting everything unlocked if fizz blocks me from making more attemps. And also calling my bank to make sure they're not locking anything…
Step 3: Unmatched address go back to step one. I keep trying different ways of typing my address.
I know what my address is. I've even opened my bank account to confirm (and shouldn't the default address work anyway since I had a previous card registered at Fizz, it's just a card update the bank sends a new card out once in a while due to wear and tear. But it has a differen expiry date so I need to add a new card).
It just says the address is wrong but doesn't tell me what's wrong with it.
Is there someother way to enter the card that doesn't check so much about the address? Can support do it for me? Does someone know about some system problem or a workaround? For instance leaving out the aparment number or some unknown workaround?
I've tried Chrome, Firefox, Edge and also my cellphone and the fizz site asked me to install a Fizz app (which I think is just a browser). But I tried that too. I've cleared my cache, I tried private browser, I tried a differnet computer, I tried every permiatation of my address (Road vs RD vs Rd vs rd, I even left Road out of my address, Apartment vs. Suite etc… upper case, lower case etc…)
I like the fizz service, I think it's super cool, I'd love to get my cell phone back online.
I've tried a couple of times today. Before and during when I was online with my bank. Does anybody know how many tries I get? If I do too many tries, and it stops my from trying, what is the recovery time? I can obviously go through the fizz help chat but that does take a lot of time.

Can support just modify the card that's already in my account? My new account only has a different expiry and CCV. Everything else is the same. A thought…
There's a modify link on the current card but when clicked it doesn't seem to work for me.

I just noticed when logging out of fizz (in chrome) it stays logged in. So perhaps there's something in that.

I'm now getting error 481.
I did some more research and I found this message (below). It says that my bank has reached some sort of number of attempt's limit and it might take 24 hours to clear it.
When I called them they said everything is fine, perhaps they cannot see if transactions are being blocked because of too many attempts.
Anyway, this suggests that if I wait 24 hours perhaps that problem will vanish. So it's 8pm local time here so if I try late tomorrow night, perhaps I get some traction.

So I've talked to my bank and they say everything is good and to contact fizz :) I've waited a couple days to let any retry limits expire.
I just tried my friends card and it's giving an error too. It also says:
The proposed address doesn’t perfectly match to the one associated to your credit card
By the way, that error message comes up even before I click the NEXT button.
I added a new address that matches her credit card and it came up with this error:
You have reached the maximum number of attempts.Click here for more info.
I then tried my own again:

If you reach the limit of attempts once again, we will need you to contact us via live chat to reset it, as we will need some more information from your end. I also verified the latest attempts you made to add a payment method, and the last error visible on my end is code 416 - Use Updated Card.
