A new cable for a fiber port

So yesterday I move into a new apartment.

When I tried to set up the internet I noticed that the fizz yellow cable had a bigger tip compared to the port in the wall.

So my question is do I have to leave fizz for another provider? Or does fizz have a cable that is small for the existing port?

I was canceling my account because of this but my apartment manager told me to talk to you guys first. So I’ll reactivate the account if you can solve this for me.

    Hi @NinjaBoy

You need to look for a coaxial cable, if you don't have you need to get a technician to come in order to install it.

You can always contact the support, https://fizz.ca/en/support , and click on the green bubble on the bottom right of the page in order to chat with them to find the right solution for you.

the outlet you found is likely for phone and not internet. find the cable that is sticking out of the wall somewhere.

    Hello NinjaBoy,
    Thank you for reaching out.

Please ensure to reach out to us privately as we require additional information. If you come across a port on the wall resembling an Ethernet cable port, similar to the ones at the back of the Fizz modem, it is not the one you're searching for. As mentioned by Wenhan, it might be the port for a phone.

Look for a socket where the coaxial cable can be connected. Sometimes, instead of wall sockets, there are only cables emerging from a wall. Here is an FAQ you can use to contact us.

    Have a good one!
