Data speeds very slow Ontario
Hello, my wife and I are in Lefaivre Ontario at our chalet almost every 2nd weekend. Since roughly a month now the data speeds are extremely slow, to the point where we have trouble getting the weather updated.
Our signal bar is around 1 bar to 3 max, she has iPhone 15 pro and I have Samsung Galaxy S20 FE 5G and we are in the green coverage zone.
I am able to change my mobile network to WCDMA/GSM only and get a little "better" signal and data speed on the 4G network and get 4 bars and data speeds of 4Mpbs download and 0.5Mpbs upload.
My wife however, thanks to Apple cannot limit the phone to 4G only and is stuck in LTE where snail speed data and dropped calls are the norm.
On her phone (iPhone 15 pro) I changed the network to FIZZ EXT and immediately she had 3 bars of signal and fast data speeds. We changed it back to automatic and dropped to one bar no data again.
Is there anything wrong with the cell towers around us in Lefaivre ?(https://maps.app.goo.gl/EqbkXnw9fXZqh7xx8)
What can be done to increase our speeds and a stable call connection for my wife?
Thanks!

keep it on fizz ext. if you only there every second weekend you likely wont exceed 50% usage on a partner network.

Hello @Brian P. #25613 ,
We are sorry to hear about the situation encountered with your services.
As you were already informed in the private message, when travelling in that area, you can try some manipulations in order to improve the signal for your devices. Please try to restart both phones, take out the SIM cards, reinsert those, in order to reauthenticate to network.
Also, make sure that your devices are upgraded with the latest software upgrade.
Try as well to turn Airplane mode On for a few seconds, then Off.
Regarding the Fizz Ext situation, if the signal is strong using it, you can keep it enabled as there will be no issues or blockings from our side.
More details here:We are looking forward for your update, whether the situation will improve, on the private message or on one of the customer service channels (
).
Have a wonderful day.
