What should I do about EXT being displayed even after activating my SIM card 72 hours prior?

Hi All,

I activated my SIM card five days ago, and have done full reboots of my iphone, but the service display still shows that I'm under extended coverage. I'm in a covered zone, and it's been over 72 hours since activation, so why is it still displayed? Am I being charged? What can I do about this?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

    Good morning,

This topic comes up for to time. Here is the @Whizz reply:

“I kindly wish to inform you that, as long you are in the subscription zone there should not be an issue if your phone displays Fizz EXT.

Probably you are in an area where we are using mostly the partners networks however, in order to receive an exact answer regarding this, please contact our customer service agents.

To do that, you can access this link:   https://fizz.ca/en/support

In answer to your second question, no you won’t be charged. As Fizz is a prepaid service, there are no roaming charges. For example, you travel to the USA with roaming turned on, but don’t have a plan that includes the USA. You won’t be charged and your phone won’t “work” for calls/text/data.

    Cheers,

    Brad

This is normal. you won't be charged. try restarting your phone in 1 weeks time. if it doesnt switch then restart it again a week after that. some users took 3 weeks before it switched to fizz from fizz ext

There's no problems and you aren't being charged.

Fizz_EXT warnings only come after you spend 3 consecutive months with >50% usage on EXT.

You are inside your coverage zone and there will be no issues.

Reboot your phone periodically and you will be okay.
