Fizz blocking Quad9 Private DNS?
I've been using Quad9 DNS servers for months without any issues. Today July 18th around 4 am I checked and my home wifi complained no internet connection.
My phone, also on Fizz, with no wifi was also complaining specifically about being unable to access Private DNS server dns.quad9.net
I checked with Quad9 and their servers seem to be up and running with no issues so I am wondering if Fizz implemented any change to block this private DNS provider

Other uses reported a DNS outage at around the same time yesterday as well.
Not a networking specialist but my best guess is that Fizz itself could not resolve DNS queries because their DNS server was down and could not connect you to the wider internet.
I've had this happen as well but in this case with public Wi-Fi captive portals. When you're not able to establish an internet connection your phone will complain that DNS cannot be reached.
Looks like you're setting DNS on your devices, so it might be better if you set it at the router level.
Log into your router and go to DNS settings and set DCHP to manual. Then follow your preferred DNS provider's instructions. (Quad9 should be 9.9.9.9)
