I have a Quebec coverage and I sent some text messages while in the US (out of my coverage zone)

I have an unlimited text message and call phone plan within Quebec. I do not have a travel add on. I chatted with someone at fizz but they were unable to tell me how much it would cost. I don’t think I used any data, only text messages.

    Hi @Bea393740

This depends, Fizz is a prepaid service, if you didn't have money in your Fizz's wallet and you were able to send message, Fizz will not send you any invoice

    there two possibility

    • An error from Fizz side
    • You have an iPhone and you were in a wifi coverage

Fizz is prepaid, so unless you had money in the wallet, it won't be able to charge you anything.

    Hello @Bea393740 ,
    Thank you for your post.

Normally, while travelling outside of the coverage zone, only incoming texts should work without funds in the wallet or a Travel Add on.

The incoming texts are free even without the options added.
    Here are more details: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/abcs-fizz-mobile-services

Did you send regular texts while travelling? Maybe those were sent using an application and for that, wi-fi was requested.

If not, it was probably a system bug that allowed you to send the messages.

Rest assured, given the fact that we are a prepaid service, no extra charges will be taken.

    Your understanding is highly appreciated.

    Have a wonderful day.
