Modem password has changed

Hi,

Quick note for future self-installer:

The password for the modem (at 192.168.0.1 or through the app) admin account has changed. It's no longer "password", it has been updated to be the same as your wifi password (it's not clear to me that this is more secure, but it is).

The instructions ought to be changed.

Cheers!

    Hi @Adam S. 3727

Strange the password is not supposed to be a password, but it is written in the back of the modem

Probably the tech changed for you

    Hello @Adam S. 3727 ,

Thank you for pointing it out.

Some of the modems are calibrated to work with the password which is displayed on the FAQ while others work with the Default Key one which is on the back of the modem , on the white label ,right under the Default network.

In the process, you can use both options as it won`t cause any harm to the modem if the option in the FAQ does not work , but most of the times the more accurate one is the default key option.

The option on the FAQ was implemented for some modems as some clients had issues with the Default Key passwords since they could have mistaken numbers or letter easily on it.

    Have a good one,
