Bought a phone that is now blacklisted!!
I bought a "pre-loved" phone from Fizz in May and since yesterday I cannot make phone calls anymore, I get the message "the phone is not allowed for voice".
A Google search showed that this is a symptom of a blacklisted phone...I checked on several sites, and my IMEI number shows that indeed it is blacklisted!! Buyer beware !! Fizz is selling phones that have been reported stolen!!
I spent the whole day chatting to a support agent who finally agreed to escalate the matter to his superiors… instead of asking me to send the phone back and wait 10 days without phone service…
I used to say good things about Fizz but now I am very disappointed.

That's troubling to hear.
Hopefully you got an satisfactory resolution.
This will probably change the procedures Fizz uses to acquire their pre-loved phones. They should definitely add a step where the non-blacklisted status of the phone is verified.
Thanks for sharing the info.

Hi
I agree that this is a very bad situation, but suppose that I sold my phone 3 months ago, and today I declared stolen, how the buyer can be protected by this?
