I ordered Fizz Internet recently. Will I only be able to use the $1 upgrade after I activate the modem?

Increasing the number of slots would be amazing! But it takes years to level up without extra points from doing things in the forum and only having an internet subscription, right?

There are multiple ways to advance. You can reach level 6-7 in one year.

Limiting the number of slots fulfills a purpose though. This way, Fizz can offer larger free data contingents or higher dollar values in rebates and allow customers to choose what is more important for them.

Level 1 is 250 MB free
Level 2 is 500 MB free
Level 3 is 750 MB free
From Level 4, customer has a choice stay with the 750 MB as before, or sacrifice 250 MB worth of data for $1 rebate.
    Level 5: 1 GB free or 750 MB free + $1 rebate
Level 6: 1 GB free and $1 rebate
    Level 7: 500 MB free + $2 rebate or 1 GB free + $1 rebate
    Level 8: 1 GB free + $2 rebate or 1.5 GB free + $1 rebate
Level 9: 1 GB free + $2 rebase or 1.5 GB free + $1 rebate or $3 rebate with no free data

You see, how that plays out. Starting from Level 3, gaining better rewards and gaining more choices alternates.

Offering both types of rewards at the the lower levels simultaneously , wouldn't likely fit in Fizz' calculation, so the options are

    • let customer choose (like they do) or
    • generally offer smaller amounts of both free data and rebates for customers to use at the same time.

Personally, I value being able to choose myself what reward suits me better.

    Do rewards expire?

A nice feature would be to combine the more useless 250MB rewards into larger.
    So 2 x 250MB = 1 x 500MB for example. It would become more usable.

Instead I am stuck with many unused rewards.

Rewards do not expire as such. But Fizz can of course decide to change them or scrap the entire rewards program at any time. That being said, from what I see in the forum, the rewards seem to have been stable for at least a couple of years.

Combining rewards will likely not be possible as it would counteract the entire idea of having limited reward slots. See my posting above. You are supposed to pick and choose and not be able to use all of them at the same time.

Sure, I get the point, but it seems useless to have a couple 250MB rewards , and 1$ for home internet sitting doing nothing, when the 500MB, 1GB, 2$ off are the ones people are more likely to keep activated.

I love this idea! You should work for the Fizz marketing team! ;)

I don't need to. The person who thought this up has designed it quite well :)

There's no new rewards for now. They might add some rewards for the tv service but we dont know yet.

Yeah, that would be nice indeed! A lot of users think that a refresh of the rewards system has been needed for a long time!

How long do these perks last? Is it infinitely every month you get it? Or does it expire after 1 year, 2 years, or 3 years? Someone let me know.

I am not sure if there are any new ones, For level two you get 500 MB upgrade on your plan and $2 off your internet if you have it.

Good evening everyone. I am new to the Fizz family because my sister B3LLA spoke so highly of it. It was a great surprise to join and already have 500mb as reward! Thank you FIZZ!!

Totally agree, it’s hidden for no reason

Actually, I don't think, it is particularly hidden. It's right their with all the other plan extras and add-ons when you manage your plan. Where else would you expect to see it?

Also, keep in mind that folks outside of QC and ON apparently don't get this feature. Making it more prominent would also make things more confusing for half of the country. Then again, the better solution for that would be to just offer the wallet to everybody...

The "My plans" section show how much of everything are remaining in my plans, except for the wallet:

It would be great if they added it right there.

Yes good idea. I have bookmark the wallet page, because otherwise I search for it each time
