Leaving a Corporate Phone Number

I have had a corporate mobile number for 20 years. In the next few months, my organization will provide a letter releasing the number to me so I may procure a personal mobile account before retirement.

Will you be able to port my number over to Fizz?

If it was a corporate phone number then you can have issues with porting it to Fizz:

If your phone number is associated with a landline or VOIP, it cannot be transferred over to Fizz. Same goes for an administrative phone number — for example, a number associated with an organization or public institution. You must choose a new number.

If your number is in subscription area https://fizz.ca/en/faq/subscription-area-and-coverage-area and there is any block on it you should be able to port it.

You can always validate with the support, go in your account → My settings → contact form

You need to buy a SIM, check if you have a store nearby https://fizz.ca/en/participating-stores/sim-card or you can order it will take from couples of days to a week to receive it.

Also remember to use a referral code during the creation of your plan, in order to receive 25$ credit at your second payment, you can pick mine, you can find it in my name after code or pick one from here

I don't see why not. As long as your number is active when you do your port and you can receive MMS.
