New phone with a new plan - How will my current plan be handled?
I’m planning to buy the iPhone 15 plus with the new 50gb for 34$/month.
However, I already have a current plan with Fizz for which the payment of 45$ will be on the 11th. I’m wondering how will my current plan be handled once I get the new phone. Do I need to cancel on my own? Will I be charged twice for the month of June? Twill I pay 45$ on the 11th and then another 34$ a few days after when I get my phone?
Can I cancel my current plan now so I can only pay once I get the phone?
Please help me! Thank you and have a nice day!

Hi @Mariange214
The information is not clear, when you buy a new phone from Fizz, the instruction say that you need to create a plan, but this is true only if you don't have a plan.
If you already have a Fizz plan, and you want to use the phone with this plan, don't create a plan!
Buy the phone and insert the SIM of your actual FIzz's plan in the new phone.
Regarding, the modification of your actual plan, you cannot modify a plan 108 hours / 4.5 days before the next billing cycle. Therefore, if you next billing cycle is the 11th of the month, you cannot do it now, You need to wait couples of days to do it and the modification they will done on the next billing cycle.

You do not need another plan. Your current plan will remain active and you will be able to change it online after the 11th.
You just need to put the SIM card from your old phone into your new phone.

Hello Mariange214
If you decide to change your plan, you can do so from your account -> My plans -> Manage my plan -> Change my plan. The new plan will take effect starting with the new payment cycle; as seen here https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-change-my-mobile-plan
There is no requirement to create another plan when purchasing a phone, so if you decide to purchase it, you will pay the phone price and the current plan price (or the new one if you decide to make a plan change).
Contact us directly if you have more questions and we will gladly assist you further https://fizz.ca/en/support
As for the best answer, I assigned it to elena code xzi4t as she gave the closest answer to your concern.
Have a great day ahead!
