Fizz-EXT usage in subscription area
Ive been on Fizz for about a month now, and after 2 weeks my service finally switched to Fizz from Fizz-Ext. When I'm in the city(Edmonton, AB), I do see my phone switch to Fizz and it works fine. However, when I'm home(Spruce Grove, AB), my phone defaults to Fizz-Ext and if I try to manually select Fizz it's basically unusably slow data and zero calls/texts. I'm in the subscription area, the map shows I'm solidly in the green area and my address was accepted when I signed up.
I'm a bit worried that Fizz may turn off my service, as I work from home and spend 95% of my time on Fizz-Ext in Spruce Grove. Anyone have any explanation for this or idea of what will happen if this pattern continues? I'd rather not have my cell service just stop working randomly...

In my experience - been with fizz for 2+ months, the fizz network is very unstable in my areas Stoney Creek,On - also in solid green area. I have manually selected the fizz extn on my and my wife's phone. Ever since the coverage is better and data speed also good.
I believe fizz will not just stop fizz extn all of a sudden. When the actual fizz network is not reliable.0 -
Hello @intercitywitty
We're sorry for the inconvenience.
Could you please try to switch your phone to airplane mode for a couple seconds, then switch it back and test out the services? After that, please reinsert your Sim and restart the phone.
