The dead end for phone number transfer.

I am a student at the University of Ottawa and I am originally from Quebec. I moved to Ontario a while ago. I've been trying to get an Ontario plan all day. I know Quebec plans work for Ottawa, but I leave the city a lot to be with family in Toronto.

Anyway, I've tried 3 times so far to transfer my phone number. I want to keep my Quebec area code. I received SMS transfer requests from my current provider (Videotron) and I authorized the transfers each time by replying to the SMS. I contacted support and they're telling me I didn't authorize the number transfer and mention error k08 (by Fizz support).

However, I even confirmed with Videotron about my transfer request, and they responded that it was indeed accepted and that the number was waiting to be used by Fizz, but Fizz wasn't doing anything to retrieve it.

I'm at a dead end. What should I do?

    Hi @Catchykyp

Did you try to change the address associated with your plan? In order to transfer your number, you can only if you are in the subscription area.

The only option is the support sorry https://fizz.ca/en/support , and click on the green bubble on the bottom right of the page in order to chat with them to find the right solution for you.

    Hello Catchykyp  ,

Sorry to hear about the issue.

I verified your account and it appears that the transfer got completed in the meantime.

Be sure that you restart your phone and enable / disable airplane mode before testing the line as showed here : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-test-my-fizz-line

    Have a good one,
