Two Phones, one account.

Hello! Just ordered two sim cards for my wife and I. Plan to activate them from one account. We'll each have the 20GB plan. Saw the text about referrals using two accounts and such. Not really interested. But I wonder about the data gifting. Will we be able to gift each other data if both phones are under the same account? If not, then I would go with two accounts. Thanks!

    I'm not sure since I never tried to donate between two plans under the same account. You better wait for other users advice

    Yes you can….you will need to use the phone number instead of the referral code...

    Regarding your data gifting question, you will be able to share data no matter if you open two different accounts, or just one account for both plans.

    While gifting data between accounts, you need the referral code. By default, the data will be sent to the plan selected by the customer on the receiving end when you send data this way.

    An alternative while working with multiple plans, is using the phone number directly, therefore, this allows you to transfer data between plans on the same account.

    Also, keep in mind that in order to send & receive data you both need to have data in your plan, otherwise it will not work; more details being found here https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-is-data-gifting-and-how-does-it-work
