Cannot receive messages

Hi there,
I just setup my new Fizz SIM yesterday. I know the system says that it takes up to 24 hours in some instances, but things seem to partly work. I can both make and receive phone calls, but I can only send messages, not receive them. I've reset my network settings and rebooted a few times, but that didn't seem to work. When I go under phone settings, the phone number is blank. When I go under the message settings, It won't let me activate iMessages. It's weird that I can only send and not receive though; even just SMS.
Anyone ahave any idea?

The iMessage is not active since it doesn't know your phone number

    Hello Martin_From_Toronto ,

Sorry to hear about this situation. I would suggest verifying if the phone number is correctly registered with your Apple ID, by going to Settings > Apple ID ( your name, usually at the top of the page ) > Name, Phone Number, Email.

If everything is alright there, ensure you have the latest update on your phone, and if the time zone is set correctly.

Lastly, try turning iMessage and Facetime off, restart your phone, and reactivate them. For more information, please refer to this FAQ from Apple https://support.apple.com/fr-ca/HT201422.

If the issue persists, feel free to reach out to our customer service in private.

    Have a good one!
