Slightly worried that my phone's always in Fizz EXT.

Hey, all! I'm a new Fizz user from Vancouver, so I'm still in their beta testing phase. Love it so far! However, my phone is always in Fizz EXT mode and I'm worried that they'll kick me off when 3 months is up. No matter where I travel in the Lower Mainland, it stays as EXT. Is this normal?

Obligatory nice image of a mango.

    Hi @Alayna

I believe that this is normal during the Beta testing period

But I will ask the support

    You can chat in direct

    • Sign into your account

    • Follow the link on this page: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/im-unable-log-my-fizz-account-what-do-i-do

    • Wait 3 seconds for the green bubble with a '❔' appears at the bottom right of the browser, if you use a phone you must use it in desktop or horizontal mode

    • Choose the option 💬 chat

    • If the green bubble does not appear make sure your ad blocker is disabled, otherwise try with another browser.

Or by private message on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/fizzca/

    Hello Alayna,
Thank you for your interest in our services.
While you are in the green area on the following coverage map: https://fizz.ca/en/coverage you should be able to see the FIZZ network (and your phone should be able to connect to it). However, while you are outside that green area on the map, you will be roaming through Canada which means you are connected to a partner network.
It is true that while you are in the BETA period, you can at times see the FIZZ-EXT network while you are in the subscription area, however the 3 month rule will not be applied for this specific reason.
You can see an explanation for the display of FIZZ-EXT on this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-details-and-conditions-beta-test-period

Also, please make sure to respond to the surveys sent to you as that will help us address issues that you can encounter.

Thank you for your kind understanding!
    Have a wonderful day!
