Incoming SMS partially delayed
I don't know when this started but recently, some of my incoming messages are randomly held back, and I randomly received them all at the same time the next day or couple days after. The thing is that I can still use SMS, sending is not a problem and I do receive some of the incoming text. However, random bits of text are not received and I don't know till later when I get a dump of all those I missed. Here an example of how it goes:
Person1: Hi how are you?
Me: Good you?
Person1: Good, thanks
Person1: Do you want to go out this weekend? (NOT RECEIVED FROM MY SIDE)
Person1: The weather is good this weekend.
Me: Yea
Person1: Cool, see you. (NOT RECEIVED FROM MY SIDE)
Me: It's so sunny this weekend.
Person1: Yea, crazy.
Next day at random time, I receive:
Person1: Do you want to go out this weekend?
Person1: Cool, see you.
I don't understand what's the problem, it doesn't seem to be my phone but I don't know if it's Fizz either. Since I can send text and there's no problem, and I do receive some of them too. It's also not the coverage cause I'm texting at my house in the same room.
My phone is: Pixel 4a

I have noticed that too. I am wondering if it could be related to RCS chats. Have you enabled RCS chats?

Yea, I do have RCS chats enable, should I disable it?

Yes disable it, RCS is sent over WiFi/mobile data. I find that SMS are always sent immediately and RCS are often delayed/not sent or received.

Hello kohlberg ,
Sorry to hear about the issue.
On another suggestion, please try to reboot the phone, enable / disable airplane mode and also check if you have the correct APN settings :
APN: mobile.bm
MMSC: http://mms.mobile.bm
MMS proxy: mmsproxy.mobile.bm
MMS port: 80
APN type: default,mms,supl
If you have an iPhone reset the network settings and reboot the phone : https://fizz.ca/en/faq/what-are-fizz-network-settings-apn
And also make sure that the SMSC number is : 1-514-424-0053
On the last note , if nothing helped, please reach our customer service on Live chat for further investigations.
Thank you and have a good one,
