"This activation code is expired. Please use a different SIM card."

I tried to re-activate a SIM card that I was having at home.
This SIM card was working few months ago, but today's when I tried to activate it, I got this failure message: "This activation code is expired. Please use a different SIM card."

Looking on the internet, I read that there was no expiration date for Fizz SIM cards.

Should I understand that now there is one and that I need to purchase a new one?

Thank you

    Hello @tidjee ,

I am sorry to find out about this situation. Please note that starting with March 2022, the SIMs non-VoLTE cannot be used anymore to activate plans. There are still working if they were already used (until the 3G networks are removed from Canada) however a non VoLTE SIM cannot be used anymore to activate plans.

To verify if you have an old SIM, the difference between them is that the new SIM which is VoLTE has a red flash on it. If yours doesn't have, you will have to purchase another SIM.

I am counting on your understanding and if you have other questions, we remain available 24/7. You can find information about the SIM orders and contact us from this FAQ: https://fizz.ca/en/faq/how-do-i-order-sim-card
