Possible to activate Fizz when you need to be contacted before any new "credit" account opened?
I have fraud protection on literally everything. Whenever a new account gets opened, I need to be contacted to confirm that it is me. There is a note through the credit bureaus (I can't remember how I added this and I like it so I will keep it).
It can be a hassle sometimes opening a new account and I am wondering if anyone know how it works for Fizz.
I don't know if a credit check is done because this is prepaid, but it is a new account nonetheless.
If anyone knows, please let me know. With Freedom it was easy as one call. With rogers it was a pain and took a few days.
This has never been something that can be resolved via chat so if you know that would be great.
Thanks!

If you don't buy a phone with affirm, not one will make a credit check since the payment is done using a transaction in your credit card.
If you need a referral code, you can pick mine to get 25$ on your second payment, you can find it in my name after jess_ or you can pick one from here for sure if you don't know already some.

As a fellow Fizz customer, I can share some insights that might help you with your concerns regarding fraud protection and setting up a new account with Fizz.
- Credit Checks for Prepaid Services: Generally, prepaid services like Fizz don't require a traditional credit check since you pay upfront for your service. This is different from postpaid services where credit checks are common due to the nature of the billing.
- Account Setup Process with Fizz: When you set up an account with Fizz, the process is usually straightforward and online. Given that Fizz is a prepaid service, the emphasis is more on immediate payment rather than credit history.
- Potential Verification: Even though a full credit check might not be necessary, Fizz might still perform some form of identity verification to set up your account. This is standard to ensure the authenticity of new accounts.
- Fraud Protection Note on Your Credit File: Since you have a note on your credit file for fraud protection, it may or may not impact the account setup with Fizz. If Fizz does need to perform any kind of credit-related check or verification, they might encounter this note.
- Experience with Other Providers: Your experience with different providers like Freedom and Rogers may not exactly predict your experience with Fizz, as each company has its own procedures. However, since Fizz is prepaid, it's likely to be more straightforward.
- Direct Contact for Confirmation: Since your situation is unique due to the fraud protection note, it might be a good idea to contact Fizz directly before starting the sign-up process. This way, you can explain your situation and get specific guidance.
- Prepare for Possible Delays: Given your experience with other providers, be prepared for potential delays or additional steps in the verification process.

Hello GoBigOrGoHome ,
Glad to hear that you are interested in the Fizz services!
We don`t do credit checks, but our system will try to create tokens for when the payment will be tried ( it will send a 0$ transaction beforehand to your account to see if you have funds for the payment, so please check with your bank to see if payment tokens have anything to deal with your fraud prevention situation.
The payments are recurring and pre-authorized also, which means that the payment is also taken automatically, so the easiest way it to confirm if the bank also accepts those automatically or if the fraud prevention system comes into play, since it could affect or block any transactions that might be tried.
If it`s one of those systems where you are asked on the bank app to confirm if you want to make the payment once the system tries it, you`ll just have to accept the payment and everything should work afterward.
